The Overboat is the dream of oceanographer Vincent Dufour who led a team of experts over the past 3 years after first envisioning the watercraft in 2012 when hydrofoiling sailboats took hold His principal motivation : creating a new way of boating without polluting or disturbing marine life.
A project incubated at the University of Montpellier
The University of Montpellier, ranked first French university in innovation, has world-renowned laboratories in several fields including marine robotics, the environment alongside
technological platforms in robotics, electronics and mechanics. Models can also be tested in a 25m covered test pool.
Numerous French government agencies (CDC, CNRS, etc.) were also on board and the business accelerator AXLR Satt selected our innovative project.

Construction is carried out by the SCC yard in Balaruc with foil and composite specialists. Many partners and subcontractors are mobilized around this innovative project (design offices, platforms).
